Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my Canadian friends out there! Hope you're getting ready for some fun with family and friends this weekend and you still have time to take advantage of the Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales.
I don't know about you, but when I think about Black Friday & Cyber Monday (BFCM) shopping I automatically think of the BEST SALES of the season (aside from Boxing Day of course). My second thought is OMG I need to start Christmas shopping!!! Honestly, Christmas Shopping should be a two-word 17 letter bad word in October. If you ask me, you should only be able to start thinking about Christmas shopping on November 1st. So with that said, let's focus on BFCM and these gorgeous art and home decor items from Target and Minted that you can get to enhance the beauty of your home.
NOTE: Please note that purchase of any of the products listed in this post may lead to a small commission for me that is at absolutely no extra cost to you. Read full disclosure below.
AWESOME TARGET & MINTED FINDS!
The first collection of decor is my personal favourite. It's light and airy and modern farmhouse-inspired. I love the natural textures and the soft, neutral colour palette. The vases are perfect as an accent piece on a console table (or under it). The tray can be used on a kitchen island to showcase cookbooks or glassware and add in a pretty plant and you've got a cute little vignette for your countertop. You could also use the tray in your living room - especially if you have a tufted ottoman; it’ll help to stabilize cocktail glasses or corral several accessories together to make an interesting display. The lamp has a simple and beautiful shape that will work well in your entryway, living room or bedroom. The art, pillows and throws are so versatile, they can be used to add beauty to any space in your home. I also love this runner; it comes in many sizes and can fill a hallway beautifully, adding texture and warmth.
This next compilation of décor has a classic contemporary vibe. The sassy gold and black lamps were the inspiration for this ensemble. They have such a defined shape and colour and will act as a statement on a side table or end table. The console table comes in two colours; a greyish wood tone and a warm, brown wood tone. I like the clear glass on top that offers yet another texture (in this case a sleek, reflective one). I would recommend this piece for an entryway. The urchin wall décor trio is perfect to add interest to a gallery wall along with these gorgeous art prints from minted or on their own to add character to a space. Nothing says classic to me more than black & white home decor which is well demonstrated in the accent pillows that are perfect for styling a master bedroom or living room. And lastly I just love the shape of the vase and wooden black pot; both would look great on a kitchen counter or as an accent in a bathroom.
This next selection is my take on transitional home decor. My inspiration came from this beautiful piece of art. The frame is classic, while the art has a more contemporary feel with subtle hints of colour that I tried to capture in these home decor choices. I love this lamp. I really like the simplicity of the base and the loop detail above the lampshade gives it so much character. You may recognize this throw, accent pillow and the candlesticks from the fall décor suggestions we did back in September, I felt they were worth repeating because they are all such great value. And these vases are perfect for a mantle, console or coffee table or would look lovely on a dining table with fresh flowers.
Contemporary was the theme for these décor selections. Again, I love the base on this lamp; it has such a lovely shape. Use on its own or pair it with another to use in your living room or bedroom - you just can't go wrong. For this collection, I chose some abstract wall decor, rather than art. I liked the contemporary design of it and the finish helped to tie the base of the side table and the lamp all in together. I used blue, white and grey colours and different fabrics to add dimension within this home decor collection to keep it as versatile as possible.
This midcentury modern inspired home decor is so playful with the pops of colour and youthful pieces. I thought the orange chair would be a great statement piece in a bedroom or as an accent chair in a family room. I love the geometric patterns on the nightstand and dresser - so retro! I personally, would place them in a tween or teenagers room. And how gorgeous is this globe table lamp? It has so much style it could practically stand alone. Use it on a nightstand, side table, console table or desk - it will work well in so many spaces. And how about that art? It works beautifully to tie the wood tones in the furniture and fabric choices in the textiles all together. LOVE it!
So there you have it; five home décor ideas for sprucing up your home. I hope you found some items that will work in your home or at least provide inspiration for you.
