WARM NEUTRALS AND TEXTURE [Alyssa’s Vibe]
"Christmas is by far my favourite holiday of the year and I love decorating for it, but I definitely like to stay within my warm neutral palette that is reminiscent of decorating style. My Christmas decorating style consists of plenty of cozy textures, warm neutrals, greenery, and various forms of accent lighting to create a cozy ambiance. Much like my regular decorating style, I enjoy staying neutral with the colours I use so I can enjoy the decor in any setting, and in my opinion, paired with a warm fire and Christmas music creates the perfect atmosphere. Layering garlands with cedar, pine, and eucalyptus with candles and knit stockings is one of my favourite Christmas decorating essentials. Christmas is such a magical time of the year, and making your home cozy with a warm ambience will lift your holiday spirit in an instant!"
SIMPLE NEUTRALS WITH CONTRAST [Brooke’s Vibe]
"I love decorating for Christmas so much, this year I’m forcing myself to wait till mid November but can’t make any promises lol! My Christmas decor style is very similar to my usual design style, simple neutrals, greenery, and black accents. I like to include tons of Christmas greenery such as cedar branches, it’s such a lovely way to bring the holiday spirit to a home. I’m also a big fan of incorporating knits for cozy vibes; whether it's in the pillows, blankets, or stockings! My all time favourite way to decorate for Christmas is by adding candles, it makes the whole home smell like the holidays and also a beauty and ambiance."
NEUTRAL & NATURAL WITH A HINT OF BLING [Val’s Vibe]
"I always describe my decorating style as coastal contemporary with a hint of farmhouse, but when it comes to decorating for Christmas, I always love adding a bit of bling. I’m calling this Christmas decorating vibe Neutral & Natural with a Hint of Bling because that’s exactly what it is. A neutral colour palette (my fave) combined with natural materials and textures provide the perfect base for coastal and farmhouse design. Then twinkle lights, gold, silver and shiny white Christmas ornaments add a little sparkle to take this Christmas décor to the next level."
DREAMING OF A BOLD, MOODY CHRISTMAS [Irah’s Vibe]
"We all know that black is not the most traditional colour when it comes to Christmas….however, I for one am in LOVE with dark accent colours, especially black. For my Christmas decor, I decided to go a bit bolder and set a moodier ambience. To start, I chose a tuxedo black Cchristmas tree, paired with a white fur tree skirt and a white a glitter embellished tree topper to create some contrast. I added subtle hints of colour as well using dark shades of greens (through ornaments, wreath, artwork) and amber (vase, art), giving some reference to traditional Christmas green. I do love incorporating neutrals in my design which is why I used neutral colour stockings and a patterned neutral pillow to help create balance. Don’t forget to add in those bright, shiny christmas lights and subtle touches of gold and you are set! A bold, moody Christmas decor that will keep your guests talking :)"
