It’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted on the blog. I hope you are all well and good and staying healthy.
The last few months have been a whirlwind. I’m sure you can relate. :) Sadly, sending out my bi-weekly notes was something that I just couldn’t get to. With the kids back in school now, I’m hoping I can get back to my regular routine.
Anyhoo, several months ago I decided that Orangetree Interiors needed a facelift.
When I first started my business I had SO much to think about....who I wanted to serve, the logistics of serving everyone well, how my processes will run, getting a logo, selecting brand colours.....the list goes on and on.
Back when I started this journey I wanted a brand that sounded friendly, was approachable and exemplified happiness and fun because that's how I wanted the process to be for my interior decorating clients. Soooo.....I chose a bright colour palette that was far from elitist.
Fast forward a few years and I feel that even though my old logo holds a special place in my heart, it doesn't represent my design style very well. I love taking on various decorating projects in a number of different styles, but I think my zone of genius is with minimalist versions of Coastal, Contemporary, Modern Farmhouse and Transitional interiors and so I want my brand to reflect that.
Don’t get me wrong, my design process is still going to be fun and I still pride myself on being friendly and approachable, I just wanted to change my brand colours to something that felt more relatable. I wanted my logo to represent the relaxed nature of coastal and farmhouse vibes, while also demonstrating minimalism and structure. I’m so pleased with the result!
I owe a HUGE thanks to Lauren at Rose Designs for her patience with me to design a new logo that I love. She worked tirelessly with me to get the font style and colours “just right.”
I'll be transitioning the logo and colours on my website, social media, etc. over the next few weeks so if things are looking a little unfamiliar, that’s why. :)
In the next post, I'll be sharing what I've been working on over the last few months. I hope you'll stick with me to check it out.
Have a great weekend. Happy Friday y'all!
The rebrand looks great!!
