Today we’re talking about the best neutral fall décor to incorporate in your home for 2021.
Fall is definitely one of our favourite times of the year to decorate for…. next to Christmas of course. :) We love the coziness that comes with lighting the fire on cooler days and snuggling up with blankets to keep warm at night. We also love the inviting feeling that comes from the warmth of a nature inspired colour palette and the comfort of candlelight. It “almost” makes up for the cold, cloudy days.

When it comes to decorating for the fall season, we at Orangetree Interiors gravitate towards natural colours and tones that are representative of nature to coordinate within our homes.
We do love the traditional reds, yellows and oranges...actually that’s part of how Orangetree Interiors got its name…..but there’s something about neutral fall colours that’s just so dreamy. We love bringing fall vibes into homes through textured knit blankets, pillows, muted art, natural materials, florals and greenery. So without further adieu, here are…..
The best neutral fall decor items you should use for 2021!

Neutral Pumpkin Decor
Nothing screams fall, thanksgiving and Halloween more than pumpkins so they are an absolute must for fall decor in 2021. You can get all sorts of neutral pumpkins to add a festive, sophisticated and cozy vibe to your space. We suggest checking out plush, ceramic and woven pumpkins just to name a few.
Fall Florals & Greenery
Take your neutral fall decor to a whole new level by adding in fall florals and greenery such as eucalyptus, grasses, wheat, etc. Incorporating real or faux plants in your fall decor will add colour, texture and life to your space. Our favourite is eucalyptus. It comes in many varieties and the soft green colour is so versatile that it works with almost any decor.
Use eucalyptus in fall floral arrangements, in the wreath on your front door or drape it over your fireplace mantle for maximum impact.

Add Fall Pillows and Blankets
Coziness is falls best friend. Therefore, fall is arguably THE season of chunky knit, warm blankets and comfy throw pillows. Your neutral fall decor for 2021 should include shades of white, beige, grey and green, along with various patterns and textures to keep your home design interesting. Some of our favourite fabrics and details for fall pillows and throw blankets are; linen, knits, plaid, boucle and exposed stitching.

And lastly, wood and woven materials. Some of our favourite materials to incorporate when choosing fall decor are wood and woven materials. Natural wood tones not only bring a natural element to a space, but they also add visual warmth, while woven materials add beautiful texture. We love to incorporate wood, rattan, wicker and seagrass, etc via baskets, trays, bookends and sculptural objects.
